Chp.1 - Only a Nightmare

It was a dark and gloomy night.  The wind refused to blow, making the humidity in the air so extreme it was difficult to breathe.  Leafs were scattered lifelessly on the ground of the dark and threatening forest.  Deep inside the heart of the forest, laid a young sixteen year old boy named Yugi Mutou.  He had blonde crooked bangs that covered most of his face, but most of his hair consists of seven large black spikes with magenta-rimmed edges.  

He slowly opened his eyes to see a dark figure standing over him. Yugi's vision was still blurry so he could not see the person clearly.  The figure gave a soft smile at Yugi, and put his hand out to him.  Yugi quickly scrambled up to his feet and backed away from the unknown person.  His vision slowly got better, so he could see the figure more clearly.  Yugi gasped when he saw that the person looked almost exactly the same as himself.  The only differences were that the person was about 3-5 inches taller and instead of magenta tips he had crimson tips on his hair.  The stranger's eyes were crimson and much sharper than Yugi's large child like eyes.  

The shadows of the trees started slithering towards Yugi and soon wrapped around his ankles so he could not escape.  Yugi wanted to scream, but no noises came out of his mouth.  Seeing Yug's fear, the strangers eyes soften to a more sad look.  He walked up to Yugi and cupped his chin, but before Yugi could do anything Yugi blacked out.

His eyes shot open, only to see he was in his bedroom.  He looked towards his door, as there was a loud banging on it.  

"Yugi!  Wake up you have school!"  Solomon called.

"Alright!"  Yugi replied as he got up from his bed and let out a large sigh.  "It's only a nightmare,"  Yugi told himself, although he was almost positive that it was much more that just a nightmare.
